Beautiful Day

Sometimes I want to be creative with no goal in mind – I want to craft but I am out of birthdays or holidays that need cards, or I am simply inspired by an idea that I want to try.

That is how this card came to exist: I wanted to try Ken Oliver Color Burst powders on this large Leafy Vine background stamp (Hero Arts). I was happy with the resulting stamped images so I kept going by spritzing it with Perfect Pearls and embellishing it with this butterfly die cut (Stampin’ Up), which is actually 3 layers to give the idea that the butterfly is flying.

Other details: ink colors used are Elegant Eggplant and Island Indigo (both SU). It is also matted on Island Indigo card stock. The ‘Beautiful Day’ sentiment is from Altenew.
